U.S. Military Surge in Afghanistan…

Interesting that the U.S. is aggressively expanding its presence and military force in Afghanistan at the exact moment the eyes of the world are trained elsewhere… in Honduras. The following blurb is from the Associated Press:

KABUL (AP) — The U.S. military says two American troops have been killed and four others wounded after an explosion in eastern Afghanistan. The deaths come with thousands of Marines involved in the biggest U.S. military operation in Afghanistan since the American-led invasion of 2001. They’re trying to cut insurgent supply lines and win over local elders.
