I received two responses yesterday from the Pillar. More reasons why I call him the Pillar…
Response one:
Laura-thanks. I am honored to be your pillar. Just keep on being my muse and the muse for so many as you weave your mystical tales in a way that only you can. I will talk to you more soon. Buenos noches my amiga.
Response two:
I saw a short piece on a Sunday morning tv show last week on the Mariposa, the majestic monarch butterfly. I had not know that those incredible creatures travel so far and all congregate in Mexico on an annual basis. I can’t remember exactly where, but you probably know. I think a good nickname for you would be Mariposa. You, too, have a regalness about you, and as you travel across the world you bring joy and beauty to people along the way whether through your special literary touch, the art that your camera breathes life into, or the joy de vivre that I am confident your physical presence brings into a room. As you know, Laura, every butterfly needs a cocoon, a safe place to go to rest and re-nourish in preparation for its next flight. As I said earlier, I am honored to be your pillar. I would also be happy to be your cocoon, a safe place for you whenever the smoldering might get a bit overwhemling or you just need to talk about something, no matter how trivial it might seem. Entonces mi amiga Mariposa, have another incredible day on that fantastic adventure you call life, and I will talk to you soon.
When the going gets tough, but I have people who don’t even know me face-to-face encouraging me like this, how can be anything but heartened enough to keep plodding one foot in front of the next?
This words are priceless to me.
